Contact Training |
|
What is a Peer Contact: A parent,
grandparent, relative, childcare provider, or foster parent
who has experienced the death of an infant due to SIDS or
SUID and has volunteered to reach out to newly bereaved
family members or caregivers to offer emotional support.

responsibilities,

If you are interested in volunteering to be a
peer contact, the next training is scheduled for March 27,
2010 in Ankeny, Iowa. The training is scheduled to
begin at 10 a.m., mileage will be reimbursed, and there is
no registration fee.

2009: State Fair Parade
The Iowa
SIDS Foundation will be sponsored a parade float in Iowa's
State Fair parade. The purpose of the float was to
promote the Foundation's Walk for the Future. To view

2009: 10th Annual Walk for the Future
The
tenth annual Walk for the Future was held Saturday, August
22, 2009. The walk was held in Albia, Cedar Rapids,
Cedar Valley, Keswick, Mason City, Pleasant Hill, and
Washington.
