The Iowa SIDS Foundation
The Iowa SIDS Foundation is a non
profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to fighting SIDS and the
tragedy it brings to families who lose their babies.
Formerly called the Iowa SIDS Alliance, the organization was
founded in 1992 when the Central Iowa Guild and the Illowa Guild
for Infant Survival merged and became an Iowa affiliate of
the national SIDS Alliance (now called
First Candle).
The Iowa SIDS Foundation remains an affiliate of First
Candle.

Our Mission
The Iowa SIDS Foundation is a statewide, non-profit voluntary health
organization dedicated to providing emotional support to SIDS
families, educating professionals and the general public about SIDS,
and funding medical research into the causes of SIDS.
