The Iowa SIDS
Foundation will be hosting the twelfth annual WALK FOR THE
FUTURE. This year's walk will be held in seven cities on
Saturday, August 27, 2011.

2011 locations include:
Information will be added as it is confirmed by each walk
site's planning committee.

| Cedar Rapids: Noelridge Park -
Lagoon Pavilion. Registration will begin
at 8:00 am and the walk will begin at 9 am. This walk
site will be feature music, games, entertainment, face
painting, and refreshments. |
| Chariton: Chariton Town Square.
Registration will begin at 8 am and the walk begin at 9 am.
Walkers are asked to bring a photo of their baby to share in
a diplay area. |

Mason
City: Prairie Playground-East Park. Rain location will
be Southbridge Mall. Registration will begin at 8:30 am with the walk beginning
at 9 am. In addition to the walk, the site will be
hosting a silent auction, raffles, games, refreshments, and
inflatables. |
Des Moines Area-Wagner Park
Bandshell,
Ankeny--NEW LOCATION!! Registration will begin at 8:30 am
and the walk will begin at 9:30 am. Participants can enjoy
refreshments, inflatables, face painting, clowns, and
raffle. Walkers are asked to bring a photo of baby to share
in a display area and are encouraged to bring a blanket or
lawn chair. This park is on the north side of First
Street--parking is available at Parkview Middle School,
Hawkeye Park, and in the lot east of the band shell. |
Sioux City: Bacon Creek Park,
Shelter #1. Registration will begin in Sioux
City at 8:30 am with the walk starting at 9:00 am.
Walkers attending the Sioux City walk are encouraged to
bring a photo of the baby they are walking in memory of to
be displayed at the walk site. |

Quad Cities: Crow Creek Park, Shelter
#1, Bettendorf--NEW LOCATION!! Registration begins at 8 am and the walk
will begin at 9 am. In addition to this 3 mile walk,
enjoy a kids carnival, refreshments, and raffle. This
park is located on Devils Glen Road. |
| Washington: Sunset Park. Registration
begins at 8:30 am and the walk will begin at 9:30 am.
Walkers can participate in a silent auction and a raffle.
Refreshments, a balloon launch, music, door prizes, and face painting. Walkers attending the Washington
walk are encouraged to bring a photo of the baby they are
walking in memory of to be displayed at the walk site. |

Registration Cost:
Registrations received on
line or postmarked PRIOR to August 17, 2011 will be:
*$25 per adult
*$10 per child
Registrations postmarked
on or AFTER August 18th, including walk day will be:
*$30 per adult
*$12 per child
How to Register:
*Note:
Paper registrations
have been delivered to our mail processing center and should begin
arriving in homes after July 14th. On line registration will
end August 18th. Any registrations after the 18th, should be
taken to the walk site of your choice.
On line registration is
now closed. Please take your registration form to the walk on
Saturday, August 27, 2010.

recommended, however, you can also register on site the day of the
