The
Iowa SIDS Foundation will be hosting the eleventh annual WALK FOR THE
FUTURE. This year's walk will be held in seven cities on
Saturday, August 28, 2010.
This event is the primary
source of funding for the programs and services provided by the Iowa SIDS
Foundation throughout the year. A number of amazing volunteers
have been working to coordinate this annual celebration. Click

| 2010 locations included: |
| Cedar Rapids: Noelridge Park - Creekside
Pavilion. Registration will begin at 8:30 am and
the walk begins at 9:30 am. In addition to the walk,
organizers are planning music, games, entertainment, face
painting, refreshments, raffle, and more. |
| Chariton: Chariton City Square.
Registration will begin at 8:00 am and the walk begins at
9:00 am. In addition to the walk, walkers will enjoy
refreshments, children's games, and silent auction. |
| Keswick: Iron Street.
Walking, running, or biking? Registration begins at
7:30 am and the event begins at 8 am. Enjoy the
company, refreshments, and raffle |
| Pleasant Hill: Copper Creek Lake Park,
4500 E. University, Pleasant Hill. Walk the 1.22
path around Copper Creek Lake as many times as you wish.
Registration will begin at 8:30 am and the walk will begin
at 9:30 am. Participants can enjoy refreshments,
inflatables, children's games, and raffle. The address
for Copper Creek Lake Park is 4390 E. University, Pleasant
Hill. |
| Sioux City: Bacon Creek Park. The walk is
returning to Sioux City!! The new walk coordinators
will begin registration at 8:30 am and begin walking at 9
am. There will be refreshments, raffles prizes, and a
few children's games. The address for Bacon Creek Park
is 5015 Correctionville Road, Sioux City. |
| Quad Cities: Scott County Park.
The Quad Cities is once again hosting the walk at Scott
County Park. Registration begins at 8 am and the walk
will begin at 9 am. In addition to this 3 mile walk,
enjoy a kids carnival, food, and raffle. The address
for Scott County Park is 19251 290th Street, Long Grove, IA. |
| Washington: Sunset Park. Registration
begins at 8:30 am and the walk will begin at 9:30 am.
Walkers can participate in a silent auction and a raffle.
Refreshments, a balloon launch, and door prizes are also
planned. |

Registration
Cost:
(1) walk registration & (1) long sleeve adult tee is $35.
Long sleeve tees are only available by pre-registration through
August 5th.
(1) walk registration & (1) short sleeve adult tee is $25.
(1) walk registration & (1) short sleeve youth tee is $10.
There are three ways to register for the 2010 Walk for the Future.
You can pre-register on line, by
clicking here. Paper registrations will be mailed to our
mailing list the middle of July or you can print registrations by
clicking here. Due to liability, we do require ONE
FORM PER WALKER, regardless of age. You can also
register on the day of the walk but we can NOT guarantee the size of
shirt you prefer will be available.

Each family
that pre-registers will receive a free reusable Iowa SIDS Foundation
grocery tote.
